Waterways Music Services is a sole-proprietor agency that began in San Diego, California and is now based in West Lafayette, Indiana. The company was started by Rebecca Colby who is a board-certified music therapist. Ms. Colby received her master of art degree and equivalency degree in music therapy from the University of Iowa. She has been teaching flute lessons since 1995 and has been practicing music therapy since 2003, working with several populations including children and adults with developmental disabilities and autism, individuals with physical disabilities, hospice patients, people with behavior challenges, individuals with traumatic brain injury, children and parents in early education music and movement classes, older adult groups and individuals with psychological disorders. Ms. Colby received her neurological music therapy credential in 2007.
Ms.Colby received the Anne Emery Kyllo continuing education award from the American Music Therapy Association in 2006.
